Day Program

Our Day Program offers a welcoming, structured day designed to support connection, independence, and overall well-being.
Each day blends social interaction, gentle physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and meaningful recreation in a warm, supportive environment. From morning coffee and conversation to engaging group activities and therapeutic programming, every element is thoughtfully planned to promote both mental and physical health—while creating a sense of community and belonging.

Day Program Routine

9:30 – 10:00 AM
Arrival & Social Time
Clients arrive at 9:30 AM and begin the day with a relaxed half-hour of socializing over coffee or tea, along with a freshly prepared, nutritious snack. This time allows participants to connect, share updates, and engage with one another.
10:15 AM
Cognitive Stimulation Activities
Staff facilitate cognitive exercises that clients first complete independently. The group then reviews each activity together, encouraging collaboration, communication, and peer support. These exercises are designed to engage various areas of the brain and promote cognitive health.
12:00 – 1:00 PM
Lunch
Clients enjoy a nutritious, home-cooked hot meal. This shared dining experience also supports social connection and community building.
1:30 – 2:45 PM
Recreation Therapy Programming
Afternoon activities vary based on weekly or monthly themes and may include guest speakers, music therapy, educational workshops, art therapy, or leisure activities. All programming is designed to support therapeutic recreation and engagement.
3:00 PM
Departure
Participants depart.
10:00 AM
Welcome & Morning Warm-Up
The group is welcomed together, followed by gentle movement exercises designed to stimulate circulation and increase oxygen flow to the body and brain. A brief discussion follows, centered on a daily quote or guided questions.
11:00 – 12:00 PM
Chair-Based Exercise Program
Led by a Certified Senior Fitness Instructor, this session includes a well-rounded routine of warm-up, cardiovascular activity, strength training, balance work, and cool-down. Clients are encouraged to participate at their own pace.

1:00 – 1:15 PM
Outdoor Walk (Weather Permitting)
Clients and staff take a short walk near the program location, offering fresh air, light physical activity, and an additional opportunity for movement.
2:45 – 3:00 PM
Day Review
The day concludes with a structured recall activity, encouraging clients to reflect on and remember key moments from the day as a final cognitive exercise.
